one is righteous, no, not one; no one does good, not even oneRom 3:10.Rom 3:12 You should consider the possibility that YOU were the one hurting someone else even though you think you have not. We have all wronged someone, and that person might also have gone through step 1 and step 2 as we have done.
I know that most probably you would think that the wrong that you have caused someone else does not compare to the wrong that has been done to you, but the level or degree of wrongness is irrelevant.
Psa 14:1
To the choirmaster. Of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.
Psa 14:2
The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.
Psa 14:3
They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.
Psa 14:4
Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD?
Psa 14:5
There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.
Psa 14:6
You would shame the plans of the poor, but the LORD is his refuge.
Psa 14:7
Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
Hopefully you have come to a realization that you have also wronged someone. I have found that regarding myself. I want grace for the things that I have done... regarding things that someone has wronged me: I want justice. Maybe you think that you have no wrongs, but If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him (that is God) a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:8-10
Now pray this: Dear Lord, I now realize that I have also hurt other people. (If you remember someone mention him/her by name). Please forgive me Lord, and cleanse my with your precious Blood. In Jesus name. Amen.
